Bradford Thermoseal™ Facing Foils Roof Sarking
Bradford Thermoseal Facing Foils are reflective insulation facings that turn exposed insulation, ducts and wraps into a tougher, neater system. These thermoseal facing foils handle easily on site, unroll flat and tape cleanly for a professional finish across roofs, walls and services.
Choose non-perforated foils for barrier performance or perforated foils for acoustic transparency, then pair with Bradford Glasswool or Stonewool® across roofs, walls and services to improve aesthetics, help manage radiant heat and support drier cavities when detailed. Backed by CSR Bradford technical support and warranty.
Features and Benefits
Bradford Thermoseal Facing Foils speed coverage and tidy up large areas, with laminates that resist tearing, lay flat and tape neatly for a consistent finish. The durable surface holds its appearance in plant rooms and open ceilings, helping programs stay on schedule with less rework. Perforated options allow sound to reach the absorbent layer for practical acoustic control, while standard foils can be lapped and sealed in the system design for long-term, low-maintenance performance.

Range
Thermoseal Facing Foils are available in a range of performance options to suit your project requirements.
Standard (non-perforated) facings
Reinforced reflective foils that, when lapped and taped to the design, act as a water barrier and Class 2 vapour barrier while adding reflective benefit to help limit temperature swings.
- 729 Light Duty Facing is an economical grade reflective foil, specifically designed for facing of bulk insulation under metal deck roofing to act as a vapour barrier and protect against condensation
- 730 Medium Duty Facing foil is a tough medium duty facing for bulk insulation used in roofing and cladding of residential and commercial buildings. This foil is also used as an external facing for duct wrap applications in the air conditioning industry
- 750 Heavy Duty Facing is a premium strength, heavy duty plain foil often adhered to Glasswool and Stonewool bulk insulation to satisfy the requirements of air conditioning industry to externally wrap ductwork, vessels and (SPI) sectional pipe insulation
- 756 Heavy Duty Pliable Facing foil is an excellent high strength acoustic facing for Glasswool and Stonewool when used as a facing for internal lagging of air conditioning duct work.
Perforated facings (decorative/acoustic only)
Decorative and acoustic foils with open area that lets sound reach the absorbent layer behind; not suitable for air, water, vapour or thermal control.
- 730 Perforated Facing: Medium duty, open area for acoustic systems behind perforated linings
- 750 Perforated Facing: Heavy duty, open area for acoustic treatment in plant rooms, factories and stadiums
- 756 Perforated Facing: Pliable heavy duty, open area for wrapping curved services in acoustic builds.
Note: Perforated variants are not air, vapour or water barriers and are not intended to control condensation. Surface-treated faces are not recommended where liquid water is present. Follow NCC condensation management and project detailing requirements.

Bradford Thermoseal Light Duty Facing (729)
Due to its high reflective properties, Bradford Thermoseal Light Duty Facing acts as lightweight radiant barrier and with an associated air space of 20mm provides thermal insulation in domestic, industrial and commercial buildings, cold stores and cool rooms, and waterproof sarking in metal deck roofing where joist spacing is less than 900mm.
Thermoseal Light Duty Facing has a low water vapour transmission rate, and hence is an ideal vapour barrier against moisture penetration and is also used for facing bulk insulation for Glasswool and Fibertex Stonewool.
Thermoseal improves light diffusion and utilisation when used in an exposed internal roof lining. Thermoseal Light Duty Facing is ideal for those applications where tensile strength and impact resistance are of lesser importance.
Bradford Thermoseal Medium Duty Facing (730)
Bradford Thermoseal Medium Duty facing acts as a waterproof membrane and vapour barrier when installed beneath the primary roofing material, providing a secondary barrier against moisture, wind, heat, and dust penetration. Due to its high reflective properties, use of Thermoseal with an associated air space of 20mm provides thermal insulation in domestic, industrial and commercial buildings, cold stores and cool rooms.
Due to its unique construction and extremely low water vapour transmission rate, Thermoseal Medium Duty facing is an ideal vapour barrier for facing bulk insulation for Glasswool and Fibertex Stonewool and SPI pipe sections. It also improves light diffusion and utilisation when used as an exposed internal roof lining. Thermoseal Medium Duty is suitable for applications where high tensile strength and impact resistance is required.
Note: This product is also available as perforated and has an openness factor of 9%. It is not considered a vapour barrier.
Bradford Thermoseal Heavy Duty Facing (750)
Bradford Thermoseal Heavy Duty acts as a waterproof sarking when installed beneath the primary roofing material, providing a barrier against moisture, wind, heat, and dust penetration. Thermoseal's integral thermal insulation properties also contribute to keeping homes warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Additionally, installation of Thermoseal Heavy Duty sarking will add to the overall thermal performance of the domestic, industrial and commercial buildings, cold stores and cool rooms when a clear airspace of at least 20mm or more is provided at the reflective side of the foil face. It improves light diffusion and utilisation when used as an exposed internal roof lining.
Due to its unique construction, Thermoseal Heavy Duty has a low water vapour transmission rate making it an excellent vapour barrier for facing bulk insulation and SPI pipe sections. An ideal reflective facing for Glasswool and Fibertex Stonewool, Thermoseal Heavy Duty is suitable for applications where high tensile strength and impact resistance is required.
Bradford Thermoseal Heavy Duty Perforated Facing (750PERF)
Bradford Thermoseal Heavy Duty Perforated Facing is a facing material suitable for adhesion to Glasswool or Stonewool insulation products where protection of the insulated surface is required whilst maintaining sound absorptive properties of the bulk insulation.
Typical applications for Thermoseal Heavy Duty Perforated facing include facing onto Glasswool and Fibertex air-conditioning internal ductliners.
Perforated foil protects the insulation whilst giving a bright smooth foil aesthetic functional use.
Note: This product is perforated and has an openness factor of 9%. It is not considered a vapour barrier.
